Ritos y Costumbres, December 3 & 4, 2022, was a stirring new dance concert that highlights the Mexican customary rites that connect us with nature, the universe and the divine. Traditional folklórico dance was woven within stories ranging from an oath to repay a miracle to a traditional wedding to the worldwide famous Day of the Dead. 

Ritos y Costumbres featured dances from Veracruz (three debut suites set by Resident Artist Angel Ciro Silvestre García), Sinaloa (debut suite set by guest maestro Yahir Padilla), Nuevo León (two suites set by guest artist maestro Jaime Guerrero Hernández), and Michoacán (debut suite set by Resident Artist José Felipe Martínez Baez). Los Lupeños was joined in concert by Los Lupeños Juvenil.
